About
Years of training, studying and observing have led to this exciting moment.
Alison Krejny has combined two life passions to create To The Pointe.
Alison (Morey) Krejny began her journey in the world of dance at age three where she dabbled in ballet, tap and jazz. Shy by nature, these classes opened Alison up to self-expression and a growing sense of confidence. After years of recitals and competitions, she decided to attend a pre-professional ballet school called The Royal School of Ballet. Here she spent her years through middle school and high school recreating her technique and focusing on classical ballet and modern training. During this time she attended multiple summer programs at BalletMet in Columbus, Ohio and The Rock School in Philadelphia, as well as trained with former principal dancers. During this time, Alison had participated in many festivals, Nutcrackers, and competitions in various corp de ballet (Coppelia, Swan Lake) and principal/soloist roles (Sugar Plum Fairy, Marzipan, Paquita, Handel Suites, Prelude Three). Additionally, she was a member of the 2001 Ensemble 3rd Place Finish at YAGP (Youth America Grande Prix) in Chicago.
After high school, Alison attended the University of Akron’s dance program, as well as, pursued a degree in Business Management Technology. She was an active member in the University’s dance club Terpsichore, where she participated in many student-choreographed performances such as Choreographer’s Workshop & Spring into Dance. Alison also held a firm role in UADC (University of Akron’s Dance Company) with roles including Cygnet (Little Swan) in Swan Lake, the Emerald Fairy in Sleeping Beauty, as well as original choreography by Andrew Carroll, Cydney Spohn and Marc Ozanich. Alison performed and toured with the University of Akron’s Opera Chorus, where she had a featured role in their production of Amahl. She graduated in 2007 with both a Bachelor of the Fine Arts degree in Dance with a concentration of ballet, as well as, a degree in Business Management Technology.
Since graduating, Alison has had a blossoming career as an online marketing professional at various agencies throughout Northeast Ohio. During these positions, she grew a passion for display advertising, pay per click advertising, social media and search engine optimization. She helped launch and execute campaigns for some of the largest organizations in United States within verticals such as health care, consumer products and automotive services.
While growing her online marketing career, Alison began teaching at local studios and has been responsible for teaching students K-12 ballet, modern and floor barre techniques. During this time, she has discovered the growing need for online advertising for studios and companies who don’t have the time to learn the detailed online tactics that guarantee success in an ever-increasing digital world.
